Gianni Notarianni
I recently stumbled across the work of Gianni Notarianni on Pinterest. He lived as a monk and priest for 25 years, and in 2019, after some back-and-forth, he left the spiritual community to become a full-time painter. He uses his own photography as a reference and draws his colors from nature and his own imagination. He doesn’t do much preplanning and says he works out the problems as he paints.
